Rafael Fraga | Guitarra e Mistério
- what’s beyond Fado in Portuguese guitar -

Following my recent dedication to the Portuguese guitar, I now première Guitarra e Mistério, which explores new and fascinating musical paths and reveals  what’s beyond Fado in guitar music. In a flexible format, Guitarra e Mistério develops new approaches to the guitar, either solo or together with an acoustic guitar or string quartet. From Carlos Paredes to Jobim, or from Piazzolla to Pat Metheny, the densely emotional sound of this amazing instrument invades new musical territories and sets new musical boundaries.

This new project has been developed with the Dutch guitarist Eva Aukes, and the first concert will occur at Talia, a gastronomic and cultural space in the heart of Amsterdam.
